Trousdale Home

Situated in a hilly neighborhood with skyline views the only remaining evidence of the original home is in its footprint.  The rest of this extraordinary home was designed from the ground up in collaboration with a leading architect and builder.

Our commission took us on a journey to participate in the development of a singular quality driven project that resonates with timeless beauty.  Awash in natural light the interior surfaces are a mix of hand poured terrazzo, Santos Mahogany, lacquer cabinetry, and Thassos white marble all combining to create an ethereal and calming space.

The lighting plan developed combined traditional down lights with spot lights to highlight the clients growing art collection as well as vintage inspired light fixtures to lend the home authenticity.

The furnishings looked to the art deco period for inspiration and a mix of furnishings from the 1940’s and 1950’s along with custom upholstered pieces blend to create a unique counterpoint to the modernism of the home.  The draperies used were a mix of sheers and wool to maintain a masculine and tailored effect throughout.
